Local considerations:
- Montgomery County Updates:
- No-Excuse In-Person Voting begins September 18th, 2020 and there are now two sites available to do so: Montgomery County Government Center (755 Roanoke St., Multipurpose Room 1 Christiansburg, VA.) and the Wonder Universe, A Children’s Museum at Uptown Christiansburg, formerly NRV Mall (782 New River Rd., Unit 812, Christiansburg VA. Both sites are open Monday-Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm as well as 8:30am-4:30 pm the two Saturdays prior to the General Election (October 24th and 31st)
- Pulaski County Updates:
- Pulaski County is having a special election for Commonwealth’s Attorney
- Radford University students:
- If you register with an RU campus address, the Registrar would appreciate your mailing address too as RU residence halls don’t have mail delivery. I
- If you don’t know your residence hall’s street address, you should give the name of your residence hall and room number.
- You can ONLY vote a ballot in the locality where you are actually registered to vote. If that is not in Radford you must apply for a ballot in that other locality. Every Election Day, we have students who come to the closest polling place, only to find out they are registered elsewhere and are not able to vote here. The reason for this is every localities ballot will be somewhat different. For example, Montgomery County and Radford have no local offices on this ballot, other counties and cities will have different Congressional races, etc. Please help us avoid this by determining where you are registered ahead of time by visiting Vote.org
