Who is Dennis Mckinley?

Dennis McKinley was born in Detroit, Michigan, on July 25, 1981. Regarding his family and upbringing, not much is known. He prefers to maintain his personal life private. That being said, we have confirmation that McKinley studied the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where he graduated in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in economics.

As a fullback, he started his playing career with the National Football League (NFL) Arizona Cardinals. As a college football player, he was chosen by the Mississippi State Bulldogs in the sixth round of the 1999 NFL Draft.

In 2009, McKinley began his career as a businessman. He joined Hoopla South as Chief Content Officer from 2009 to 2012. In 2011, he created Cru Lounge, an American lifestyle lounge. Today, Cru Lounge has opened several locations across America. McKinley began serving as chief executive officer of The Original Hot Dog Factory, a gourmet hot dog manufacturing company, in September 2015. The Original Hot Dog Factory, is experienced in franchising. In fact, his hot dog business was so successful that, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, when few other companies were making expansion plans, it opened 15 new locations in just 90 days. As C.E.O., McKinley joined Detroit Equities in January 2018. Even now, he still has the role. Detroit Equities is a branding and investment firm based in Atlanta, Georgia. In December 2020, McKinley parted with Nyak Cognac. As of this writing, Exact Net Worth reports that Dennis has accumulated a net worth of $10 million so far. This number is a combination of his work as an entrepreneur and reality TV star.

Many fans know Dennis to be the “Hot Dog Man,” but he is also spread his entrepreneurial skills with companies such as Waist Trainer, Food Ching, Work Win Celebrate, and many more. So, it makes sense that Dennis has achieved a sizable net worth.                                                                                       McKinley gained fame:  after appearing on The Real Housewives of Atlanta (RHOA) as the partner of American television personality Porsha WilliamsTheir relationship, engagement, and the birth of their daughter, Pilar Jhena “PJ” McKinley, were all documented on the show, giving viewers an insight into their lives.

Not long before PJ was born in 2018, the pair exchanged vows. But in 2019 they ended their relationship due to McKinley’s dishonesty. A few months later, they made up and became reengaged. The bond between them was examined on RHOA and Porsha’s Family Matters, the spinoff.


McKinley and Williams have maintained a positive co-parenting relationship for their daughter in spite of their turbulent relationship. In addition to being a successful businessman and former athlete, McKinley also demonstrates to the world that he is a devoted parent by frequently providing updates to PJ about his life as a father. Dennis is still a fan favourite on the program because of his work ethic and down-to-earth behaviour, even in the face of some controversy.


However, their relationship took another turn when Williams met Simon Guobadia, a Nigerian-American businessman.  He has also expressed skepticism about Porsha’s relationship with Simon Guobadia, questioning their timelineGuobadia proposed to Williams in May 2021, and McKinley immediately made it clear he had no hard feelings.

 He commented on Porsha’s Mother’s Day post, “Congrats P! Cheers to your next chapter!”
