Synopsis of Ricky Stanicky
The movie starts with the trio( Dean, Wes, and JT) playing a prank on the neighbor, by starting a fire out on his porch which quickly escalated to the lawn the fire caught the scarecrow when the trio couldn’t control the fire they write Ricky Stanicky on the costume of the scarecrow, which leads the police to believe that the prank was done by the make believe ” Ricky Stanicky”
The story then travels forward in time where the trio is all grown up and uses Rick Stanicky as an escape route. The story follows the adventure of their fictional best friend when they pay an actor “Rock-Hard Rod” to act as Ricky Stanicky to escape another situation with their girlfriend and wife.
The situation spirals out of their hand when everyone is at home like Ricky Stanicky. The story gets more complicated for them when At the Bris, Rod shows up as Ricky and impresses everyone with his personality and knowledge, including Leona, Carly (Dean’s cousin), and Ted Summerhayes (Dean and JT’s boss). During the circumcision, the Rabbi starts having a reaction to a Ketamine pill he accidentally ate, leaving Whitaker half-circumcised.
Ricky uses Summerhayes’ cigar cutter to complete the circumcision, causing everyone to celebrate. After the Bris, the trio thanks Ricky for showing up. Erin asks Ricky to stay, but Dean says that Ricky is heading to Nairobi for an Ebola outbreak. They thank Rod for portraying Ricky.
As the story progresses, Ricky Stanicky constantly stands in their way in more and more Out of control situations. And finally, everyone gets to know about their fictional “Ricky Stanicky” and how Rod is playing the role of Ricky Stanicky.
The story ends on a good note when Rod ends the movie with new friends and a girlfriend. He even seems to continue his efforts to kick his addiction to alcohol that he initially adopted as part of his method approach to portraying a sober Ricky. The montage at the end of the movie shows Rod’s influence having a positive effect on the rest of the cast.
